Samanta Stanco
▌▌▌Research at the University of Milan
Samanta is a research fellow in Legal Informatics at the Faculty of Law at the University of Milan (supervisors: Professors Giovanni Ziccardi and Pierluigi Perri).
She won a 12-month scholarship for promising graduates immediately after graduating in Law at the University of Milan, where she discussed a thesis on cyberbullying and cyberstalking.
Her research focuses on media literacy, minors, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, online hate speech, responsible use of technology and data governance of children’s information.
She attended a Postgraduate Course in Cybercrime and Digital Investigations – Cyberbullying, cyberstalking, hate crimes among adults and adolescents and protection of weak subjects, at the University of Milan. She also attended the ‘DPO Academy’ advanced training course for the positions of Data Protection Officer (DPO), Privacy Manager and Privacy Specialist, at the law firm Rödl & Partner in Milan. She is qualified to practise as a lawyer. As part of her research programme, Samanta has produced scientific publications on the topics of interest, is involved in teaching and coordination activities within the Chair of Legal Informatics and is a thesis tutor.
