Diletta De Cicco is a prominent figure in the world of data privacy and cybersecurity.
With over seven years of experience in international law firms, Diletta has demonstrated deep expertise and consistent commitment to her field.
Diletta has been recognized by the Women4Cyber Foundation as one of the most influential women in the field of cybersecurity in Europe and is featured in their book “Hacking Gender Barriers.” She is also a member of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), an organization that contributes to ensuring data protection across the European Union.
Born and raised in Italy, Diletta is multilingual, fluently speaking Italian, English, and French. This linguistic ability has enabled her to work effectively in an international context and collaborate with clients of diverse nationalities.
Before her current role, Diletta gained extensive experience advising clients on cybersecurity and data privacy issues, particularly in the context of EU laws and regulations such as the GDPR.
In addition to her legal work, Diletta is also an academic assistant at UCLouvain in Belgium. She is part of the DRAILS research group, focusing on topics such as data, robotics, artificial intelligence, law, and society. This academic role allows her to stay at the forefront of the latest research and trends in her field.
With a solid academic background, Diletta earned an L.L.M. in EU law at the College of Europe in Bruges in 2015-2016. She also holds a CIPP/E certification and a Data Protection Officer Certificate from Maastricht University, further attesting to her skills in the field of data protection.
