Andreas is an Associate Professor at Uppsala University in an interdisciplinary project on the risks related to the application of AI technologies in the financial sector. His focus is on the notions of trust and fairness examining their role in the regulation of the different aspects of such technologies. In his doctoral thesis he investigated the interaction between consumer law and data protection law in the EU and some of his articles on data protection have been published at the ACM’s Transactions in Social Computing and the International Journal of Law and Information Technology, Oxford University Press.

He has also been a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford, Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, and the University of Amsterdam, Centre for Transformative Contract Law.
Additionally, he has been involved in the the creation and further-development of a number of courses on ethics, law and IT for computer scientists, and as a programmer, in the development of chatbots for helping consumers.  

He holds a PhD in EU law with a thesis on the subject of “payments with personal data”.
His LL.M. in Law and Information Technology from the University of Stockholm.
Andreas is a Member of the Athens Bar Association.
Also he is a computer networks specialist (CCNA) and a struggling programmer (JS, Python, Node.js).
