Simone Bonavita is the Execuvive Director of ISLC – Information Society Law Center of the University of Milan an AC Professor in Data Protection & Data Governance at the University of Milan for the current academic year, Key staff of the Jean Monnet European project of excellence “European Citizens’ online fundamental rights, data governance and cybersecurity in the Information Society: a European legal framework” (#DATAGOV). He also teaches the master courses in “Data Protection & Data Governance”, “Computer Forensics and digital investigations” and “Coding for lawyer & legal Tech” at the. University of Milan. Former Law Graduate and Legal Sciences Graduate at the University of Milan, with mastertheses onprivacy and new technologies and a specialization in digital investigations. Subsequently, he obtained a Master Degree in New Technologies Law and Legal Informatics and a Ph.D. in New Technologies Law and Legal Informatics (CIRSFID) under theguidance of Prof. G. Sartor at the ALMA Mater – University of Bologna. During 2017, he was Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. His professional activity, mainly extrajudicial, focuses on the field of new technologies law and datagovernance. He assists daily national and international groups, credit institutions, TELCOs, communication and digital agencies . As a speaker at conferences and seminars, he is the author of numerous publications on the topics of law and new technologies, personal data processing, ISP liability and digital communication.
